- Jobs growth slows with non-farm payroll increases of only 145,000. Average hourly wage earnings came in below forecast as well at only 2.9%, the first sub 3% reading since June 2018.¹
- The World Economic Forum’s outlook for 2020 includes stable 2.0% growth in the US, Chinese growth slowing below 6%, and emerging market economies growth rate slowing and pulling back from record levels of debt. ²
- The US on Friday unveiled new sanctions on Iran in wake of the missile strikes on US bases. The sanctions target the country’s metals and manufacturing sectors.³
